Moët et Chandon is the world’s leading luxury Champagne brand, selling over 30 million bottles each year. They set the trend for celebrating with bubbles. In fact, it was a bottle of Moët which was first sprayed in celebration during the 1967 Le Mans Race. Roger Federer is their brand ambassador and they have collaborated with the likes of Lady Gaga among many other celebrities. They have a royal warrant to serve Her Majesty’s champagne and endorsement ringing from as far back as Napoleon. The house was started in 1743 by Claude Moët and became Moët et Chandon in 1833 when Pierre-Gabriel Chandon de Briailles joined the company. Over the next two centuries, they built an unstoppable reputation, merging in 1971 to become the luxury Louis-Vuitton-Moët-Hennesy (LVMH) company. Their vast 1,150 hectares sit on 75% Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards and they make a range of champagnes for every occasion. Perhaps most importantly they are also responsible for the creation of the sought after Dom Pérignon. Named for the famous Benedictine monk of Champagne’s past, Dom Pérignon is only released in the finest vintages after ageing in the 17 miles of cellars Moët own under their Epernay Headquarters.
