The domaine used to - technically - rent these vines from Jean-Marc’s mother, Lydie’s grandmother. She passed away three years ago and since then the domaine has inherited the two parcels, from which they make this fabulous wine. This year they made three barrels and used one new barrel for ageing. It has a power and depth that sets it apart from the premiers crus. For the moment the wine is a little closed, just giving a glimpse of the power and intensity below the surface. With a little air there are flickers of mineral and ocean spray, floral notes of acacia and white flowers and harmonious stone fruit. A wine that will need time but supremely impressive.

Clos de la Barre is the domaine’s monopole 2.1-hectare vineyard which lies just behind the cellar. The wine always has a bright acidity, married with ripe stone fruit and a salty tang on the finish. A hint of Danish pastry makes it typically Meursault.

A unmistakably classic Monte Bello showing all the signatures of this top tier estate: intensity, depth and nuance. The aromatics are vivid, violet-tinged with accents of spice. The palate has superb definition with a core of ripe, supple bramble fruit. A wine of remarkable purity and intensity, this will no doubt become a future classic.

A wonderfully floral wine with plenty of spice, there are flavours of dark cherry, cocoa nibs and liquorice. The palate is fresh and detailed with a mid-weight feel in the mouth and silky and charming finish that shows a lot of delicacy.

So expressive on the nose, it opens with aromas of dried mint, a little vanilla and leather. Subtle notes of chocolate and baking spice mingle with the ripe strawberry and red berry fruits. Excellent freshness that runs through the palate, there is a beautiful savoury character that emerges with a little earth and grilled meat. While offering so much charm, it is clearly a truly classic Rioja that will age gracefully over the coming decades.

Les Semlables Boréal comes from various plots which share the common themes of Kimmeridgian limestone and North/West aspects. This Blanc de Noirs (100% Pinot Noir) is both juicy and vibrant with an energetic drive. Zero dosage keeps it brisk and razor-sharp.

This Blanc de Blancs is Guillaume's flagship cuvée. It's a blend of two premier cru vineyards: Les Prés in Vrigny, an East-facing vineyard on sandy soils, and Les Vignes Dieu, a South-facing parcel in Coulommes that has chalky soils. The 2022 base is creamy, precise and effortlessly elegant. Low dosage, unfined and unfiltered.

This comes from hillside plots in Cramant and Chouilly., where the deeper soils produce a slightly fleshier wine than in Oiry. It tends to be a wine once tasted, never forgotten.

The heritage of these Chardonnay vines couldn't be more impeccable: a massal selection from Selosse’s vines in Avize and Dauvissat's in Chablis. It is zero dosage, but thanks to its long élevage, has a richness and power, setting it apart from more fragile, filigree blanc de blancs. It already has a strong following in the market.

Les Grandes Lignes comes from the South-facing lieu dit of Sorbée in Buxières-sur-Arce, on Portlandian limestone soils, certified organic since 2015. 100% Chardonnay.

This is a rare Blanc de Noirs vintage release from Guillaume, made from old Pinot Meunier vines grown in his home village of Vrigny. Structured, savoury, and very serious.

Less than half a hectare of old (60 year+) vines go into this wine, so production is extremely limited. it shows the sunshine of the vintage, with the intensity and precision of the Bérêche style.

A 50:50 blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from two excellent sites in Lude, Les Hautes Plantes and St-Jean. There's a salinity to the body of the wine, derived from the limestone soil of the sites.

This rare wine was first released in 2023 from the domaine. It comes form vineyards in Beauxregards, Le Cran, Mailly, Ambonnay, Aÿ, Cramant and Rilly La Montagne. Rare and highly prized.

This draws from vines in seven villages, including Grands Crus of Avize, Cramant, Oiry and Oger, and is made up of 90% Chardonnay, 10% Pinot Noir. It exemlifies Agrapart's knack for making wines that are equal parts captivating and delicious. It's a non-vintage blend with a boost.

This was the first cuvée that Paul released, and is somewhat of a flagship for this young domaine. It is an equal split of Mesnil-sur-Oger and Oger fruit - drawing together the two sides of his family inheretance. Low dosage, and high quality Chardonnnay farmed with meticulous care make for a fragrant, precise and delicious Blanc de Blancs.

This is Paul's premier cru Blanc de Blancs - a scintellatingly good entry point for his soaring portfolio.

This wine is from a single premier cru parcel in Vrigny, where the vines were planted in the 1970s and 1980s. Unlike the Prés Dieu cuvée, this is a blend of Blanc de Noirs: a blend of Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. The sandy limestone soils of Vrigny give the wine detail and texture, and the Pinots give it power and depth. Dosage of just 1g/l; unfined and unfiltered.

Charles van Canneyt’s Vosne is a mini-masterclass in its style. It comes from a single parcel called Basses Mazières, just below Suchots. It is smoky, spiced, and has Vosne’s velvet power.

Stéphane’s parcel of 65-year-old vines lies right in the heart of the old Clos, the original part of the appellation. With such an amazing terroir, Stéphane comments that ‘70% of the job is done’! It shows delicate salinity and fragrant fruit depth. Understated but hugely impressive.

This parcel, right in the centre of the village, has been owned by the Lafarge family since 2005. It has an ideal mid-slope position, and produces a floral wine with great tension and an intense fruit core: quintessential Volnay. A more ethereal feel this year with fine texture and a lift of wild strawberry and cherry blossom.
