Bergerac and Saussignac mirror their neighbour Bordeaux, whilst Jurançon and Irouléguy produce excellent sweet wines. Rich and hearty reds, meanwhile, are found in Malbec’s traditional home of Cahors and in the Tannat-based wines of Madiran.
