Terroir al Límit is one of the most acclaimed names in Priorat. It was established by Dominik Huber and legendary South African winemaker Eben Sadie back in 2001, just a year after Sadie first made Columella. They met at Mas Martinet in the region, and wanted to produce a wine that could best show off the spectacular terroir of this corner of northern Spain. Despite Eben no longer being involved in the estate, it continues to go from strength to strength. Inspired by the great wines of Burgundy, their signature style involves light extraction through infusion techniques rather than more aggressive working of the grape skins. It takes incredibly good quality grapes to use these methods, and maintain the vibrancy and concentration that defines these wines. Despite Priorat’s reputation for big and heavy wines, these wines remain fresh and focussed, and incredibly drinkable.
