Domaine Comtesse Bernard de Cherisey

From a new winery in the hamlet of Blagny in the hills that overlook Meursault and Puligny, owner Laurent crafts wines that balance an inherent richness with the grippy minerality for which the wines of this area are so well known. Laurent is also the rightfully proud owner of what must be the Côte d’Or’s largest spittoon. Often overlooked in the UK, overseas merchants snap up his wines, most notably the American importer and connoisseur Kermit Lynch.
