Jean-Baptiste Bouzereau took the winemaking reins from his father, Michel, back in 1999. An impressive figure to follow, Michel Bouzereau is a man of great sway in Burgundy. He was at one time the President of the prestigious Burgundy Growers’ Union. His son, Jean-Baptiste, is now responsible for making some of the most enjoyable Meursault we know and has forged his own, impressive style. Although not certified, he tends his vines organically and follows the lunar cycle in the cellar, paying attention to when best to rack and when best to bottle. His attention to detail results in the creation of expressive Chardonnays from his eleven hectares of vines in Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet.
