Etienne Guigal is the leading name in the Northern Rhône’s Côte-Rotie. The domaine has received more 100-point scores from Robert Parker than any other Rhône estate, and Etienne Guigal has been described as “this planet’s greatest winemaker." Their most famous wines, La Landonne, La Mouline and La Turque are some of the most sought-after Syrahs from the Rhône valley, possibly even the world. But alongside their great Côte-Rotie, Guigal is also a prolific producer in Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage, Condrieu, Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Saint-Joseph. The domaine was founded by Etienne in 1946 in the village of Ampuis. His son joined him in 1961 and today, third generation Philippe is at the helm, following his internship at Château Cheval Blanc in Bordeaux and his studies in Dijon. Their commitment to making top quality wines starts in the vineyards with sustainable viticulture and the utmost respect for their fine terroir, ancient vines and incredible vineyard sites.
Guigal’s Côte Rôties have received more 100-point scores from Robert Parker than any other wines.
