Porseleinberg is a small estate in Swartland owned by the Boekenhoutskloof estate, although run entirely independently. The estate’s focus is Syrah, supported by other Rhône varieties. Winemaking is as natural as possible, with only natural yeasts and minimal intervention. Winemaker and estate manager Callie Louw would always rather be in the vines than in the cellar, but he's also a gifted winemaker, and their Syrah is often likened to top examples of Cornas.
