Cerbaiona
Cerbaiona’s history dates back to the 1600s, although the estate owes its modern fame to Diego
Molinari, who bought the estate in 1977. His winemaking focussed on emphasising the site’s
unique terroir, and under his aegis Cerbaiona gained cult status. Diego retired in 2015 (at 84),
selling the estate to a group of investors, who are converting the land to organic farming and
replanting some of the estate’s olive groves to vines. The future looks bright.
