Champagne jacquesson makes low-dosage Champagnes of wonderful elegance and remarkable complexity from only Grand and Premier Cru sites. Brothers Jean-Hervé and Laurent Chiquet place a huge emphasis on the quality of the vineyards. Those grapes that are bought only come from plots which border the estates, and allow the brothers to oversee every part of the growing process, finally delivering the fruit to their own presses. Such is this commitment to progression and excellence that the production of Jacquesson has fallen by 40% over the last five years, as they concentrate on quality over quantity.
The wines that result are each a beautiful expression of their exceptional terroirs, and, even for the ‘non-vintage’ cuvées, of the qualities of the year on which the wine is based.
