Making the award-winning wines of Gusbourne Estate is a team effort, and they certainly have a great team down at Appledore in Kent and Goodwood in West Sussex. The estate was bought by Andrew Weeber in 2004, and under the expert eye of vineyard manager Jon Pollard, Gusbourne has flourished with a low intervention approach. The yields are small but the fruit intensely flavourful, and Gusbourne Estate sparkling wine is some of the most highly regarded in England. They are the only three-time winner of the IWSC English Wine Producer of the Year. Gusbourne specialises in Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, priding itself on using grapes from their own vineyards.
