2023 Pouilly-Fuissé 1er Cru Le Clos, Château de Fuissé Dry | White | Still

It’s fitting that Le Clos graduated to Premier Cru status in the 2020 vintage. It is a superb 2.7-hectare monopole vineyard of the domaine, sitting right outside the cellar door. It is home to many old vines, some of which were planted as far back as 1929. The youngest vines you’ll find here are from 1984. These east-facing vines grow on three different soils - clay at the bottom, marl in the middle and limestone at the top. It’s the most serious wine in the Château de Fuissé cellar, with complex layers resulting from the patchwork of soil types and vine diversity and oak ageing (85% new). 2023 is an extremely structured and complete wine. The nose spans white peaches, orange peel, honeysuckle, and vanilla. The palate is balanced, deep and focused. A zesty freshness with impressive persistence on the finish.

Young: 2026 - 2037
The Macallan 18 Year Old Sherry Oak Single Malt Scotch Whisky, Speyside/Highlands (2024 release) Spirit | Whisky | 43%

This sherried 18-year old expression forms part of The Macallan's annual Sherry Oak Collection release. Matured entirely in hand-picked sherry-seasoned oak casks, this is the closest to a 'house style' you can expect from The Macallan. On the nose, this dram offers classic notes of treacle, ginger, and baking spaces. The palate is full-bodied and rich, showing off the quality of the sherry casks used here, and has a long, lingering finish of raisins and figs. Bottled at 43% and presented with natural colour, this belongs in every collection.

The Macallan 25 Year Old Sherry Oak Single Malt Scotch Whisky, Speyside/Highlands (2024 release) Spirit | Whisky | 43%

Matured for two and a half decades exclusively in hand-selected Olorosso sherry-seasoned casks from Jerez, this is an astoundingly rich and complex expression from The Macallan. Citrus, dried fruit, and wood smoke appear immediately on the nose, but there is a never-ending kaleidoscope of aromas which reveal themselves with time, if you are patient enough to wait. On the palate, waves of toasted vanilla, stewed apples, dates and sweet ginger spice unravel, before a long, satisfying, sherried finish. A special dram worth savouring every sip.

2023 Hermitage Le Gréal, Marc Sorrel Dry | Red | Still

This is a powerful, muscular style of Hermitage - 100% whole cluster used this year. The dense structure here promises long-term ageing, full of dark cherry and bramble fruit, pepper, violets, licquorice root and anissed. There is a brooding, mineral core not far below the surface. This will be extremely impressive with time.

Young: 2033 - 2050
2023 Hermitage Blanc Les Rocoules, Marc Sorrel Dry | White | Still

The 2023 Rocoules is an intense and vibrant white. Offering up notes of quince, white peach and citrus balm there is a hint of honeysuckle and savoury miso complexity. A sense of salinity runs through the wine and the finish is expansive and expressive on the palate.

Ready: 2025 - 2040
2023 Hermitage Rouge Classique, Marc Sorrel Dry | Red | Still

A supple, expressive Hermitage delivering wild herbs, fresh cracked black pepper, violets and bright bramble fruit. There is freshness and energy here without too much weight or opulence. Tannins are sinewy and ripe and frame the wine in a stately way.

Young: 2030 - 2043
2018 Château Pichon-Longueville (Baron), Cru Classé Pauillac (2025 Ex-Château release) Dry | Red | Still | 14.5%

A real head-turner, the 2018 Pichon Baron is open and ready for business. There is a seamless, velvety texture on the palate yet it is brimming with energy and focus. Classic Pauillac notes of graphite and warm gravel mingle with a hint of exotic spice and succulent bramble fruit. Another triumph under the direction of Christian Seeley.

Ready: 2025 - 2045
2023 Pavillon Blanc Second Vin, Château Margaux Dry | White | Still | 13%

The second vintage release of this 'Second Vin' of Pavillon Blanc, it is a wine of freshness, tension and floral complexity. The nose opens with fresh jasmine and nectarine with white grapefruit and ocean spray. The palate has a roundness and creaminess adding complexity yet also a vibrant line of acidity at its core. The finish is very well defined, long and refreshing.

Ready: 2025 - 2034
2022 'Sorte O Soro' Godello, Rafael Palacios, Valdeorras White | Still | 14%

This wine is sourced from six small plots planted in the late 1970s and early 1980s. These are some of the oldest vineyards owned by Rafael Palacios, located in Santa Cruz do Bolo on the north side of the Bibei Valley. It is a wine that speaks so clearly of the rocky landscape on which it was grown. The nose has deftly integrated oak spice, wild herbs, ocean spray, with a muscularity and texture on the palate that demonstrates the potential longevity. So fluid and crystalline, the finish is vibrant and beckons you in for another sip.

Ready: 2025 - 2035
2022 'Sorte Antiga' Godello, Rafael Palacios, Valdeorras Dry | White | Still | 13.5%

This 0.24-hectare parcel of bush-vine Godello, planted in 1920, is the oldest and most distinctive vineyard owned by Rafael Palacios. In 2022, this has produced a musucular and textured white with real density and focus which belies some of the warmth of the vintage. It offers dried mountain herbs, white stone fruit, and real salinity that flows through on the finish.

Ready: 2025 - 2034
