2019 Château Amélisse, St.Emilion Grand Cru Dry | Red | Still | 14.5%

This St-Emilion is one of our go-to wines, for sheer quality and value for money. The final vintage overseen by Denis Durantou, this is a wine to buy by the case.

2019 Château Capbern, Cru Bourgeois St-Estèphe Dry | Red | Still | 15%

Château Capbern is a real gem of our Bordeaux range. From St-Estèphe, and made by the same team as high-achiever Calon-Ségur, this is a wine that will thrill with its energy and complexity, and with its price. It’s a wine that comes very highly recommended: stock up at En Primeur prices, while you have the chance.

2019 Château Poujeaux, Cru Bourgeois Moulis Dry | Red | Still | 13%

Poujeaux is always an impressive Moulis - old bottles we've tried have been impressive - and this is a brilliant example. Dark berries and silky tannins, and lovely vibrant acidity. This will age beautifully.

2019 Marquis de Calon, Saint-Estèphe Dry | Red | Still | 15%

Château Calon-Ségur in St-Estèphe is a brilliant property, that's hugely sought after. This, the second wine, is a brilliant purchase: one that you should stock up on.

2019 Château de Pez, St-Estèphe Dry | Red | Still | 14%

Du Pez is from the same stable as Pichon Lalande, and this is a lovely expression of St-Estèphe in 2019. Dark berries and sea spray, and a hint of iodine on the finish. The tannins are refined and very pure, and there's an impressively long finish. Very nice indeed.

2019 Château Giscours, Cru Classé Margaux Dry | Red | Still | 13.5%

Château Giscours is a serious, thought provoking wine. Dense, black fruit, and intense concentration but with no sense of over-extraction. Remarkably fine tannins that cover its pure core with elegance and ease. More beguiling than its power house 2010 and far more reminiscent of its glorious 2005.

2019 Château Roc de Cambes, Côtes de Bourg Dry | Red | Still | 14.5%

There's a Pinot Noir character on the nose of the 2019 Roc de Cambes, with dark cherries, and lots of floral notes. There's a sweetness to the fruit, and such a delicacy to the tannins. This is beautifully balanced, and incredibly refined: such a good wine, it's not to be missed.

2019 Château La Gaffelière, 1er Grand Cru Classé St-Emilion Dry | Red | Still | 14.5%

The 2019 La Gaffeliere is a drop-dead gorgeous St-Emilion: the best wine I have tasted from this historic estate. Violets on the nose, with a wonderfully refined, focussed palate. This is so long, and so moreish. A top buy in 2019.

2019 Château Tertre de la Mouleyre, St-Emilion Grand Cru Dry | Red | Still | 13%

Tasted from a barrel sample sent to the UK, the 2019 Tertre de la Mouleyre has a beautifully floral, elegant nose. There's a purity here, and depth to the dark fruit. Notes of violets, silky tannins and plenty of crushed rocks on the finish. Beautifully structured and poised, this is classic claret at its zenith. Wonderful.

2019 Château Clerc Milon, Cru Classé Pauillac Dry | Red | Still | 14%

Quite plush and ripe on the nose, this is more showy, and complex, than the Armailhac today. There's ripe, silky hedgerow fruit, and a beautifully suave, enticing texture. Long and stony on the finish, this is beautifully judged in 2019.

2019 Château Certan de May, Pomerol Dry | Red | Still | 13%

The Franco-Scottish de May family were gifted this estate in Pomerol in the 16th century, and owned the estate until 1925. The 2019 has sweet spice on the nose, with plenty of focus, and a silky and pure palate. There’s lovely juiciness on the finish.

Young: 2026 - 2045
2019 Château Le Tertre Rôteboeuf, Grand Cru St-Emilion Dry | Red | Still | 14.5%

The 2019 Tertre Roteboeuf is slightly closed on the nose, just teasing with berry fruit and violet notes. But on the palate there's tremendous weight and beautifully grippy tannins, with a hint of bitterness on the finish adding further complexity. Very long indeed, this is a sleeper, but will be brilliant.
