There’s never been a more thriving time for English wine. Britain today boasts almost 4000ha of vines planted, with the total area under vine up 74% over the past 5 years.

Officially a ‘trending’ region on the global map, producers have discovered the remarkable terroirs of Kent, Sussex, Hampshire and Essex (to name just the key areas) with new plots planted each year. The UK now has almost 950 vineyards and over 200 wineries. With vines maturing, expertise developing, and global warming doing just that, the quality of English wines continues to increase.
