A remarkable Alion in 2021, this 100% Tinto Fino hits the high notes. The growing season allowed for long, gradual ripening of the grapes which has given aromatic complexity and fine-grained tannins. The wine has spiced notes of cedar, incense, and peppercorn, with youthful intensity of bramble fruit clothing the finely etched tannins. Real poise and balance on display here, not one to miss.

The 2020 Macan includes some Graciano and Garnacha for the first time. This is a charming Rioja that opens with flavours of dried dill, red cherry, wilted rose, and a dusting of cocoa. The palate is fleshy and vibrant with a long and poised finish.

From a warm vintage in Toro, this opens with a heady nose of dark cherry, dried violet petals, liquorice, and cocoa. There is a sense of power and breadth here that gives the wine an immediate charm - there is a mouthcoating quality to the fruit that envelopes the taste buds.

The 2015 Unico is expressive from the outset. Coming from a warmer year, the grapes ripened quickly which meant attention needed to be paid to harvest date to ensure the fruit coming in was 'al dente'. There is freshness and power to this wine, it opens with aromas of cedar, warm tobacco spice, and incense which deftly combine with the dark cherry and bramble fruit. There is a powerful and muscularity on the palate but this melts away on the finish leaving a sense of real finesse.
