Beaujolais 2021: New Releases
The Gamays of Beaujolais were similarly affected by frost, and the challenges of the summer growing season. But what’s resulted are charming wines, that impress with their balance and freshness. In recent years, it’s been a challenge for the winemakers of the region to manage heat, with alcohol levels rising quickly. In 2021, we’re back to much more moderate levels, sitting around 13% in general. And classically styled, these are wines that cry out to be bought and enjoyed.
