The business is known for its outstanding range of wines, buying directly from top Domaines and Châteaux in Bordeaux, Burgundy, Rhône, Loire, Champagne, Italy and South Africa, which it sells exclusively to private clients.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and creative Content and Campaign Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in enhancing Lay & Wheeler's brand presence, driving customer engagement, and delivering impactful campaigns that celebrate the world of fine wine. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling, an eye for design, and the ability to craft compelling marketing campaigns that resonate with our discerning audience.

 

Key Responsibilities

Content Strategy & Development

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy aligned with the company’s brand values and business goals.
  • Create engaging, informative, and high-quality content, including blog posts, newsletters, social media updates, and product descriptions.
  • Coordinating with our sister company, Coterie Vaults, and delivery companies to address customer queries effectively.
  • Collaborate with the wine buying team to craft compelling stories about new and existing wines.

Campaign Management

  • Plan, develop, and execute end-to-end marketing campaigns across multiple channels (email, social media, web, print, etc.)
  • Coordinate seasonal campaigns, including en primeur releases, exclusive offers, and events.
  • Handling new customer inquiries, adding their details to the database, and facilitating onboarding processes.
  • Track and analyse campaign performance metrics, optimizing for ROI and customer engagement.

Brand & Visual Identity

  • Ensure consistency in tone, style, and branding across all marketing materials.
  • Work with designers and external partners to produce visually stunning assets that reflect Lay & Wheeler’s premium positioning.

Digital Marketing & Social Media

  • Manage Lay & Wheeler’s social media presence, crafting posts that foster engagement and grow the brand’s following.
  • Leverage SEO and analytics tools to improve content reach and visibility.
  • Oversee email marketing efforts, including segmentation, personalization, and automation.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Liaise with internal teams, including sales, customer service, and wine experts, to ensure cohesive messaging and campaign alignment.
  • Manage relationships with external agencies, freelancers, and partners to deliver high-quality outputs on time.

 

To perform the role to a high level, you’ll be able to demonstrate the following skills:

  • Proven experience in a similar marketing role, ideally within luxury, lifestyle, or wine industries.
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences and channels.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Mailchimp, HubSpot, or similar platforms).
  • Creative mindset with a strong eye for design and branding.
  • A genuine passion for fine wine and understanding of the industry is highly desirable.
